State of SS AddressIn no way am I giving myself the title the president of SS nor am I trying to come off as arrogant or trying to put myself over anyone...I try to take each day as an learing experience so I definetly do not know everything...I am one of the longest lasting active members on here so I thought It was time to give a State of SS address

I am currently disappointed ounce again with the state of SS. But I am confident the site will regain stability and become the FASHION site I joined almost a year ago. Although I am happy with some of SS. The admin and SS's favorite mod DiCoCo showed that the site will never stand for racism and banned those who did hastaly.

But SS I am highly disappointed with what I see in the gallery. Even more disturbing is that they get 10s. I feel if a female has a cute face they get an automatic 10. I thought we were actually supposed to rate the actual clothing not a big but and a smile.

Also much of the gallery looks very mediocre. I know every fit you post is going to be a banger we all have off days. But try to have put effort into your clothing. Make it look as though you actually care what you put on. Your body is temple don't adorn it to resemble the contents of a trashcan. I will also like to announce fakes will never be toliarted on SS this is fair warning that fakes go adgainst the fabric of this site and will be outed.

Furthermore, please respect everyone. Everyone has their own ideas of fashion the same way all of you do. Everyone has their own style. Even if you feel something is a abomination to fashion find a respectful way to say it. People will respond to your advice if said respectfully. Also take it in consideration everyone does not dress like you. There are many styles that are fashionable even if you don't like it. There are many styles on SS i wont wear but respect. You should approch fashion with an open mind.

I am not calling anyone out. But if you feel as though I am you may be the guilty party. Shout out to the SS fam luv yall.

the rating and comments used to be more strict but seem like ppl are throwin 10 and good comment just because we re friends lol

1. I agree that females do get 10s just for being pretty! No hater here.. just stating obvious.
2. Fakes will not be tolerated, as for spammers trying to sell clothes on here
3. People should respond to other in a respectful manner but FREEDOM OF SPEECH will not be hindered..


This site is about fashion. I was telling someone the other day on here, streetstyle is not only defined at kicks and tees, to me it is about the clothing you rock in the streets!!! Maybe back in the day it was, but this is a new day and age. Look at NYC, the STREETS ARE FASHION RUNWAYS!

I too have felt the same way that you have felt yung! I have not posted SHIT!! I have mad shit coming in through the mail but just have not felt like posting.. I know that I should but the site has lost some of its passion. I am not leaving though.. Last woman standing..haha.. but passion has gone, maybe the winter will weed out the individuals who have no fashion sense and leave the ones who are willing to learn or willing to show what they worth.

Thank you for the great speech. It was uplifting but more of an eye opener to Z and the CEO that there are issues here.. hopefully, the new site will be up and running next week.. :-) Cross your fingers..

I haven't been on that long but sometimes I don't rate or comment on a lot of pics that get a 10 because of like what Bayesow said & i know they're getting a 10 because te friend status! JSJ & I are friends & we agreed that if we aren't feeling something to say it no matter what! I do c a lot of the guys rating a girl because her outfit is kinda on the skimpy side or something of the nature spoken of but what am i going to do dispute their rate, that's the way they feel. I know that I take pride in what I put up on here, not so much to make sure y'all like it but make sure I like it first, y'all don't know how many times I delete & retake the pic b 4 I upload it! I am always on the road w/ my camera and if I think it's not SS material I don't put it up there! It was good of u 2 call this out Yung but really what can be done about it after this. I agree with Aldan it's never over. I personally have a pet peeve for the no pic raters! but even still if they do put up pics how do we know it's actually that person? I suggested to Di that there should be a grace period of when they can rate, if they haven't put up any pics within 24-48 hrs they're account should be prohibited to give rates, I personally feel is a coward move 2 go around spouting negative & u can't show ur own backyard!!!! Or if someone is harassing u they should have a completely block button (the ignore button is only for u 2 block what they say but others can c it). I'm sure ppl have many ideas of how to enhance this site, my brother is on a site for XBOX Live & lemme tell u them moderators don't run that petty shit if u harass some 1 & its reported ur ass is gettin deleted, racist remark automatic deletion, don't post 2 a forum enough in a group ur ass is deleted 4 non-participation ahahaha it's bugged out but they got ppl sitting by them computers waiting 4 some shit! Di does what she can tho that's 4 sure!

interesting. a friend of mine told me about this site so I figurd that I would join. From the looks of it my style is completely different than most of the stuff that's on here. I left streetwear alone a couple years back other than a few Playclothes items here and there. But I do actually know a good fit no matter what style of clothing it is, and honestly I'm with yall on this. I don't see how some people get such high ratings. It's whatever though I'll stay here for a bit because some of the dudes on lookbook a little to limp wrist for me.

Generally speaking, as some of you guys can see instead of complaining and whining about how SS has been going downhill in the last few weeks... I took it upon myself as a true StreetStyle pioneer to recruit fresh new faces who would actually bring something to the table.

i agree with the fact people should be more harsh, if you randomly give out 10's then how am i supposed to step my game up??? of course ill get comfortable in what i got on and will not change my swag up thus never getting any better, so i think everyone should see my pix i just uploaded and rate them please and be honest
