you all need to check out lookbook.nu
there is an extreme lack of respect and courtesy that is shown here. most members here are HATERS, i cant believe im using such an..unintelligent term...
but c'mon!
this is not a site to TRASH ppl, if even a FRACTION of the members here had actual style! omg, wow. maybe i'd listen.
EVERYONE! maybe you should SHOW SOME CLASS and stop trying to act like you are so much more "hip" than everyone else.
on lookbook its about HYPING looks and praising creativity.

its the fact that even if it IS street/urban style , there is ultimately zero respect for someone who, may not have the SAME style as everyone else.

are you serious chick? It seems like you have a lot of bad things to say about StreetStyle so my question is..... what are you still doing here?
FYI I have been to lookbook and I think its a total failure of "style" showcasing... The only thing that matters there is photography skills and creativity of picture taking. The outfits(if you can even call them that) are horrible, I wouldnt wear 95% of the bullshit they wear on that site hence why I DIDNT JOIN lookbook and even If I did I wouldnt have disrespected the people on there.. but I didnt like it so I didnt join and I think you should do the same regarding SS.
ghetto fashions? really? That seem a bit racist and stereotypical from your part and I think that it all comes from your pictures not getting any attention or comments. This is a STREET style website so you are going to see mostly urban styles with a few eccentric ones like my man aldan or CHHARLIE(whos no longer here) but that doesnt mean that theyre not respected.
I dont know what ya'll do on lookbook but members like myself on SS like to tell it like it is and if you cant dress you just cant fuckin dress! Point, blank, period! You may not like me, some might even hate me but who cares?! I joined StreetStyle to showcase my style and critique others not to make countless # of buddies who are going to give me nothing but positive feedback. So if you think us being honest and telling it like is means that we lack maturity and courtesy maybe StreetStyle isnt the place for you.
Dont come on here and try to disrespect the site and active members who have made StreetStyle what it is today. If you're just trying to get attention by making posts like these IMO its pretty lame and pathetic.
Hope you start contributing to the site instead of bitching and whining.

I usually don't get into the threads beef but, I have to back Tr3nd up on this one.
The only thing that matters there is photography skills and creativity of picture taking. Tr3nd is right, the pictures are more artistic than anything. I doubt that you upload any pictures on there because the below picture that I have pastes shows NO CREATIVITY or PHOTOGRAPHY SKILLS! It does not even show any style! I am sorry to be harsh but I hate when people come on here and point fingers when they have nothing to back it up with! One of our Super Mods is on Lookbook and does upload here but I never here him compare Lookbook to streetstyle. Style is an expression of ones self, I have always said that. And your style that you are showing us below, will be not named at this time because I do not want to be as harsh as I can be. I will be deleting the picture soon because it is irrelevant to the site!

This is streetstyle, and yes alot of people agree that streetstyle is just urban wear but to me streetstyle is what you wear in the streets!!! as long as it has some style to it, I accept it and am very open minded. .

Take this editors pick, she has a simple streetstyle, no sneakers no jeans, no tees but she got picked for the editors picks. I can show you more that have style but who are not rocking jeans and tees but still have style.

I respect you for coming out and saying how you feel and you're entitled to your opinion but what I don't respect is how you came on and condescendingly put US ALL in a derogatory class of style. I don't know what sparked you to create such a thread maybe you got a low rating or something but just know that it's better to catch bees with honey! This thread is not only disrespectful to the members of the site but the creator as well! I've went to take a look at this lookbook and I gotta tell you, it's not a book I wanna look at. I enjoy SS real talk and even though you can't delete your account yourself, there's more than enough mods to help you do so! I hope you change your mind to thinking the way you do about SS. Everyone's style is different even if you want to look @ it as the same but note that a boxer don't win cause he throws punches, it's all about technique! Streestyle is the survival of the "Fit-est" & I don't mean ur physical stength!!

i actually DO like the style on lookbook alot, and i dont understand why no one is reading my freakin post! i have nothing BAD to say about SS and MOST of the members styles! i have nothing BAD to say about individual style- its the lack of respect!
everyone is getting behind eachother because i called it out! there is so much "hating" going on from profile to profile.
and lookbook does have incredible photography sometimes and admittedly- questionable outfits, but so does SS!

I believe you said it best "if you don't have anything nice [or intelligently put] to say, then keep your mouth shut" Everyone has their own grievances about the site but it must be presented respectfully. In your post you did not air your grievances you just attacked the site and a culture as a whole. And in return the site attacked you. Their are styles I like and their are others I dislike on the site. Personally I dont like your style. That does not make me a "crit" because I disagree with a style. I can respect one's style and disagree with it. And yes this site is a urban fashion website but yet there are many members who post more than jeans and sneakers.
You joined this site under your freewill thus you can leave under it too If you don't agree with the content.
